Full-bodied in texture, it offers up loads of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry fruit intermixed with some cedar, vanilla and a touch of spring flowers. Impressively built, with good acidity and light tannin.

It has a straightforward bouquet with scents of red plum, autumn leaves and a touch of rose petal that needs a little more vigor. The palate is better than the nose, a little more cohesive than the 1998, with more freshness.

A little more precision on the nose, the fruit a little fresher with lifted mulberry, violet and lavender scents. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity.

The aromatics have evolved well, now offering quite plush redcurrant, strawberry and ferrous scents that are nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, savory in the mouth with dried blood, rosemary and sage notes towards the finish.

Deep garnet in color, it has a sumptuous bouquet with blackberry, saddle leather, forest floor and even just a faint touch of juniper berries. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, lightly grained tannin. This is a very harmonious Giscours with cedar and a pinch of black pepper sprinkled over the black fruit.

The aromatics are very focused with black fruit, violets, fig and mineral scents that are very well defined. There is even a dab of mint chocolate making a surprise appearance on the aftertaste.
